Dennis Alcapone

One of the few DJ’s capable of giving the great U-Roy any competition Alcapone’s smooth singing style of toasting is brilliantly captured on “Forever Version”. Featuring the vocal backing of the Wailers, Heptones, Alton Ellis and John Holt. This is a classic Studio One album. He was the primary DJ on the El Paso Sound System from which he gained notoriety. It was while recording at Studio One that he changed his name to Dennis Alcapone.
