Gladiators

The Gladiators are a vocal group whose Studio One releases brought Jamaican roots music to a whole new international audience. One of the most popular being “Roots Natty”, With lead vocalist Albert Griffith the group scored a hit with Hello Carol in 1968. The group then changed members becoming more of a musically independent band, and it was this grouping that returned to Studio One recording many deep Roots tracks. Their output for Studio One defined some of the best Roots ever recorded.
