Alton Ellis

One of the most revered singers in Jamaica, Alton was always a personal favorite of Clement Dodd and was still recording at Studio One until Mr. Dodd’s death in 2005.For Studio One he recorded some of his most iconic songs. He started singing in the late fifties as Alton & Eddie progressing to the Rock Steady era where his soulful voice was particularly suited for. Nobody better than Alton, the true voice of Jamaica.
