Larry Marshall
A legacy artist at Studio One he recorded multiple songs for the label, as well as providing backups for artists like Alton Ellis and Burning Spear. He teamed up with Alvin Leslie as Larry & Alvin and scored hits for Studio One. After Leslie’s untimely death he started singing solo on hits like Nanny Goat (credited as the first Reggae song), Throw Me Corn and Mean Girl. Some of the rhythms of these songs going on to be the mainstays of the Dancehall era.
